The Zombist

We returned from a two-week vacation a few days ago and I've been slowly working my way through the epile of ejetsam that accumulates when you drop off the grid for even a few days. Lot's of gems this time, the highlight being a little email announcing The Zombist: Undead Western Tales was released for public consumption on 7/30! If you've got the resources and the inclination (heck, even if you don't), check out this 458-pg monster from Library of the Living Dead Press' main man, Dr. Pus (aka Dr. Mike West), and editor Bill Tucker. Story number 9 is mine. A little tale about "Hands."

Amazon's product description:

This huge tome contains 29 stories by 29 authors for a huge anthology about zombies in the Old West. You'll find cowboys, indians, miners, gunslingers, settlers, sheriffs, marshals and of course zombies. All of them in the Old West. Over 450 pages and over 160,000 words of the weirdest, strangest, most unique and downright cool as hell stories about zombies in the Old West. Yeeee Haaaaw!

Elwood: What kind of stories do you usually tell here?
Claire: Oh, we got both kinds. We got zombie and western.

  1. I guess this just shows how clueless I am ... I didn't even know you had a blog until I read your e-mail to Carolyn. Of course I signed right up ... looking forward to ...(crackle) ... stories ... (high pitched feedback noise) ... from my friend William! :) Oh and congrats on this anthology, you are amazing!

  2. Thanks, Jae! 'twernt nothin'. :-)

Yeah, the blog I setup a while back but just recently started posting a few things. I hope to include more and more as I go along but for now the pickings will be sparse. Thanks for dropping by and following!
